This site comprises my opinions on a variety of subjects from politics to tennis, and links to items that interest me from books, to news to other sites.
I've been in publishing most of my adult life, from general interest newspapers to computer magazines, from conferences to Web sites, with a few stints consulting for electronics and software companies.
I've organized conferences such as VSLive!, Web Builder and the Enterprise Architect Summit at sites from Sydney to Berlin.
I've spoken at others' conferences from Buenos Aires, Argentina on software, to London, where I talked about spy satellites and military communications at the European Microsoft Conference, to Milan, Italy on programming. (Speaking through simultaneous translation to a mixed language audience is challenging, but I probably needed the translation more in London.)
Publications I've been involved with range from Personal Computing, then the largest end user computer magazine, to Microwave Systems News, to Visual Basic Programmers' Journal. Among the people I've interviewed for publication are: Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Don Estridge, Gary Killdall, Steve Ballmer, & Bob Metcalf. I've also created a site for highly-involved users of all things wireless at www.waytooconnected.com Here's my profile on LinkedIn.
