R.I.P. Passepartout

Our beloved cat Passepartout died today of cancer at 7 years and 10 months.

'Partout was a Pixie Bob by breed, a best friend, a noble feline, and a great mouser (two-for-two on miscreants that dared enter his domain). His passing will leave a hole in my heart that will never be filled, and many wonderful memories.

He was named after the side-kick, Passepartout, in Jules Vernes' novel Around the World in 80 Days because the word means "goes anywhere", and because Filias Foggs' valet was a bit of a character but always came through in the end. Wikipedia says this of Pixie Bobs, and I can't argue: "Pixie-bobs are highly intelligent, social, active (but not hyper-active), bold, and enjoy playing with other animals" (Please click to enlarge the image.)

Good-bye, Passepartout.

Oh Jim . . . I am so sorry! It is never easy but you & Page gave him the BEST possible life of love & care. I am happy because William got to meet him if only through the window. I remember him when he first came to Greenhills, what a playful guy, ready to take on the world.

Blessings to Passepartout as he passes on the Kitty heaven.

Sorry again but thanks for letting me know.

I'm sad,
Jack

Dear Jim - I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of your dear Passepartout. The loss of a beloved feline companion is completely heartbreaking. Please know that I am thinking of you and Page. I believe that our departed pets await us on the Rainbow Bridge and that we will be reunited with them one day.

Love and healing thoughts,
Maggie
